So how does Paid to Click (PTC) work?
After joining a PTC website you will be presented with a series of ads, normally you will only receive about five to ten ads per day. Each ad will be between $0.001 and $0.02. This might not seem like a lot of money which is why it takes a while (if you don't invest any money in the beginning) to start making decent money. You start making money when you rent referrals or have direct referrals. Most people rent referrals in the beginning because it is the easiest thing to do; although, direct referrals will give you a higher profit. Renting a referral is exactly what it sounds like, you are renting a user, similar to yourself, usually for 30 day intervals. Every time they click an ad you will receive a profit provided by the company. Direct referrals are users that directly sign up under you. They don't cost anything to upkeep, you just receive a profit when they click ads.

When you first join, it will take a little while to accumulate money if you start from scratch and don't invest any money in the beginning. Definitely not necessary to invest money in the beginning. I started from scratch. If you do invest money don't try getting direct referrals to start because usually the company will not let you get direct referrals the first month you sign up. Keep clicking ads until you reach $3, it might take you about a month or a little longer. Keep clicking, it might take a while but once you hit the $3 mark it gets more fun because you can start renting referrals which means you will start making money!
After hitting that $3 mark start renting referrals. Most websites will rent you three referrals at a time. For example, OnBux will rent you three referrals for $0.70. After receiving the referrals you might think to rent more referrals since you have some extra money. Don't. Just sit tight and wait a couple days. Monitor your referrals over those couple days and make sure they are clicking the ads. Note: not all referrals are guaranteed to click ads. If you see one, two, or more referrals not clicking any ads or if your referrals average click is below 1.2 or so, recycle them. recycling will cost you about $0.7. After one to three recycles, you should have three strong referrals that are continuously clicking away. At this point, if you have the money, extend your referrals by 90 days. This is one of the keys to success. Keeping referrals and constantly extending them is better than letting your 30 day rental run out. Extending before expiration will give you a discounted price.
